We’re proud to work with several Yorkshire-based food and drink brands, so when traditional pork pie maker Vale of Mowbray approached us for help with their website and online strategy we couldn’t wait to get started.

Founded in 1928, Vale of Mowbray have been baking delicious pork pies in the heart of Yorkshire ever since. You’ll find their range in Sainsburys, Morrisons and Asda as well as lots of independent delicatessens – and the adigi fridge!

As part of their ongoing expansion, Vale of Mowbray wanted to update their brand presence online. The website is often the first interaction a potential customer or stockist has with the brand, so it had to showcase their heritage and the quality of the product.

With this in mind, we created a brochure site led by historic photographs from Vale of Mowbray’s own records, along with aspirational product imagery. Against an illustrated backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, Vale of Mowbray’s heritage and Yorkshire tradition really shines through.

Once the new website was live it was time to promote it, both to consumers of Vale of Mowbray’s products and potential stockists. In order to reach both audiences, adigi provide a full social media management service across Facebook and twitter, from branding right through to growing the accounts and identifying business opportunities.

We work as an extension of the Vale of Mowbray team, working closely with their own marketing department to ensure all messages are on-brand and tied in with long-term company goals.

In the first month of managing the accounts, we grew Vale of Mowbray’s Twitter following to 1200 and their Facebook following to almost 1000 – a great success for this classic Yorkshire brand. They can now reach consumers across our region and beyond, increasing brand awareness and keeping everyone informed of the latest promotions and product launches.
