In the heart of the Cotswolds, Daylesford Stays offer a collection of five traditional stone cottages and modern British pubs. Thoughtfully designed, sensitively and sustainably restored, each property’s design draws from nature and works to convey a sense of individuality while retaining warmth.

Hospitality Experiences Embracing Escapism

Working in collaboration with Daylesford Stays who supplied new brand guidelines for Daylesford Stays, and each of their traditional Cotswold locations of The Wild Rabbit, The Cottages, The Fox, The Bell and The Three Horseshoes, we designed and built each of their websites as a multisite in WordPress. We Were delighted to be appointed to work with such an iconic collection of venues who strive to provide hospitality experiences that embrace the luxury of escapism. Throughout the wireframe and design process, focus was placed on reflecting the brand’s vision of conveying both a sense of character and individuality, while still retaining a feeling of warmth.

The Brief

Understated Elegance Paired with Indulgence

In order to create a sense of belonging and synergy across the Daylesford Stays group, we worked to create a clean and effective user journey that was familiar and consistent in terms of their UX and UI, whilst still showcasing individual character with the individualised logos, colour palettes, menus and key service offerings. Throughout the development process, we worked to create structure and simplicity in the ability to book a table, accommodation, or enquire and explore private hire experiences for example with ease. Focus was placed on accounting for different volumes of content, structuring key offerings based on each individual venue, such as private dining, private hire and fine dining, as well as creating the ability to globalise certain content from the Daylesford Stays group site.

WordPress Development

A Home Away from Home

As part of this multisite WordPress project, we integrated with Daylesford’s chosen third party booking providers for table reservations and accommodations, and implemented an API integration so that Daylesford could use our designed newsletter sign up form whilst still pushing new subscribers to their dedicated email marketing platform. Upon completion of each of the sites, we built tailored, bespoke Looker Studio reports so that Daylesford Stays can analyse real-time data, monitor key metrics of interest, and review their website performance.
