We are really excited to announce that Whitby Seafoods has appointed us to design and develop their new website.
Founded in 1985 by Graham Whittle, Whitby Seafoods is an independent Yorkshire family business based in Whitby, on the Northeast coast of England.
About Whitby Seafoods
Over the past four decades, the business has grown from its Yorkshire roots to become a well-established name in the seafood sector, with Whitby Seafoods now firmly established as a leading brand in scampi.
Telling the Whitby Seafoods story
The new website will provide an opportunity for Whitby Seafoods to bring together more of the story behind the business, its products and the industry in which it operates. Alongside information about its product range, the new site will explore the origins of scampi and the history of Whitby Seafoods, while giving greater visibility to the people, heritage and values behind the business.
It will also provide an opportunity to communicate more about the company’s approach to sustainability and responsible sourcing, giving customers, consumers and wider stakeholders a better understanding of the work that goes on behind the products they know and enjoy.
For Adigi, the project brings together many of the things we enjoy most about working with ambitious brands: strong heritage, a clear story to tell and an opportunity to create a digital experience that is both informative and engaging.
What they said
Dan Martin, Managing Director at Adigi, said: “It’s such a great brief because we’re able to help tell the Whitby Seafoods story.
The website isn’t just about showing which products they sell; it’s about telling the wider story of the origins of scampi, the history of the business and its place within the seafood industry.
It’s also an opportunity to explain more about Whitby Seafoods’ commitment to sustainability and the work being done within an industry where responsible sourcing and long-term sustainability are increasingly important.”
Sophie Pogson, Marketing Manager at Whitby Seafoods, said: “We could tell as soon as we met Adigi that they not only understood the FMCG landscape but also had the technical expertise and commercial awareness we needed for the project.
The new website gives us the opportunity to bring more of the Whitby Seafoods story together in one place and provide a better resource for our customers, consumers and wider stakeholders.”
What’s next?
The new website is currently in development and is scheduled to launch at the end of 2026 or early 2027.
We are looking forward to bringing the new site to life and helping Whitby Seafoods tell its story to a new and existing audience online.
