Argos Personalised Jewellery

Argos is one of the leading retailers in the UK with stores throughout the country. They are committed to expanding their product ranges and markets and therefore required a fully responsive e-commerce website to launch their new range of personalised jewellery.

Seeing the trend of personalisation on websites such as Not On The Highstreet, Argos saw this as the next step for their business, to capitalise on this ever growing sector.

Building a robust e-commerce solution

adigi were commissioned to develop a new independent e-commerce website, that would adhere to strict brand guidelines and appeal to their target audience already familiar with the Argos brand. The website build included social media integration, SEO optimisation and a streamlined checkout process.

We worked closely with the client at the design stage focusing on ease-of-use and user-journey, ensuring conversion would be maximised and a positive customer experience would be achieved. A responsive, optimised website build was essential to ensure visibility across all devices, allowing customers to browse and shop regardless of how they were using the site.

With frequent price updates, sales and offers throughout the year, a robust e-commerce content management system was provided to facilitate content updates that would need to be rolled out quickly and efficiently.

Providing a rock-solid platform

As a large brand attracting large volumes of traffic, it was important to establish a robust, reliable and secure platform that would respond to the demands of the business and its customers.

Speed and availability were two important considerations in ensuring a consistent experience for customers. Page load times, network speed and redundancy were all factored in at the planning and development stage of the project and followed through to the launch stage where adigi setup and configured the required server framework to provide the necessary support. In line with the scope and nature of the project, extensive PEN testing was commissioned and performed prior to launch.
